🎓 Funding Available for Oliver McGowan Training

From January 2026, all CQC-registered providers must ensure staff receive role-appropriate learning disability and autism training.

Government funding through the LDSS covers the full cost of WMCA’s member-rate training, but funding for Oliver McGowan training is only available until March 2026 .

To support providers, WMCA is launching a new in-house training package based on the Care Certificate, including the Oliver McGowan training. Places are filling up fast!

Courses are open to members and non-members, with discounted rates for members.

🎄 Congratulations to Bramley Court Care Home! 🎄

We’re delighted to announce Bramley Court Care Home in Yardley Wood, Birmingham, as the winner of our Design a Christmas Card competition. The winning card, created by resident Lynn, impressed us with its handmade simplicity — and has been chosen by WMCA as the official Christmas card for all our members and partners.

Our Marketing & Events Manager, Matthew Ripley, visited Bramley Court to present their Manager, Ajit, with a luxury hamper to be shared among staff and residents.

This first year of the competition has been a great success — congratulations again to Bramley Court!
